The final numbers are now in for the City of Tucson election. As of 20:49:10 on November 6, 2009. with 100% of precincts reporting, here are the unofficial results:
City Council Ward 3
Karin Uhlich (D) 33,760 46.99%
Ben Buehler-Garcia (R) 33,656 46.72%
Mary DeCamp (G) 4,425 6.16%
City Council Ward 5

Update: From what we understand, there are over 3,000 ballots left to count, 700 duplicate ballots and 2,625 provisionals.
Pima County Elections just posted new numbers. The Tucson Ward 3 election has narrowed to just 240 votes. Karin Uhlich is still ahead of Ben Buehler-Garcia but her margin is fading [...]
The Tucson City Council race between Uhlich and Garcia is getting tighter. They are only seperated by about 450 votes and there are still nearly 5,000 ballots out--and those ballots are trending Garcia's direction.
