This is going to be awarded every day, but I have to point out an act of local douche-bagness (if that is a word).


While looking through some Springfield News Leaders from 1966, I found an ad for the Hi-M Drive-In. They were showing Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! The interesting part is that this same week another theater in town was showing Who's Afraid of [...] 
Most people of my age remember Soupy Sales as a game show panelist, but for Baby Boomers he was one of their favorite kid show host. His show was so hip, it attracted guest such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Fess Parker, Burt Reynolds and [...] 
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Rush Limbaugh is out of the bid to become the owner of the St. Louis Rams. I'm sure some of the local and national weenie-bloggers will be crying about this all day today. I plan to make fun of their tears.

When I decided to get into radio in the mid-80's, there was a radio show that fired my need to program one of the local radio stations MY WAY. That show was the Dr. Demento Show. I had to listen to it over faint' [...]








I'm disappointed with Gov. Jay Nixon for not cancelling the Tour of Missouri. I would have cancelled it to punish Peter Kinder over the disrespectful derogatory comments he made a few weeks ago about David Letterman (Kinder likes Sarah Palin as much as he does' [...]
