I just learned about this via West Seattle Blog on Facebook. A home at 4200 Beach Drive caught fire. According to WSB, "Beach Drive is blocked off from La Rustica to Me Kwa Mooks because of the callout" and Metro route 37 may be impacted.

Right now at Lowman Beach, the Puget Sound Kiteboarders are taking advantage of the gusty winds on Puget Sound. I understand from one of the participants that this was originally going to take place at Richmond Beach, however the winds were better here.

Last week I noticed a group of men that appeared to be collecting a significant amount of moon shells along the beach in front of Emma Schmitz Memorial View Point. I also see this person (photo) on a regular basis doing the same...armed with decent size tote, plucking many shells [...]
The USCGC Mellon is the first and only USCG cutter to be fitted with the Harpoon missile. She also once had an anti-submarine warfare suite including torpedos which have been since removed.

Our family wasn't alone with putting our recycle bins our for pick up yesterday. Many of us still have our bins out on Beach Drive "just in case".

There is a purple bike that seems to be abandoned at Emma Schmitz View Point. It's been there for a couple of days and in this weather (local report states possible snow!), I'm assuming someone has left it.
