Gov. Tim Kaine, Gov-elect Bob McDonnell and Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling all attended the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Revenue Estimates (GACRE) today and received less than stellar news regarding the state budget.
The estimators predicted that “Virginia needs to cut an additional $250 million from the budget [...]
Outgoing Governor Tim Kaine is proposing tax increases to balance the gap in the upcoming budget (Norm @ TQ).
After all, it’s not as if the last fellow to call for a tax increase went down to the greatest landslide defeat in almost fifty years . . . [...]
More "whitewashing" from the DPVA? It sure seems that way. I'm hearing from reliable sources that Tim Kaine and Creigh Deeds will be coming to the DPVA's State Central Committee meeting on December 5 specifically in order to discourage any discussion about what happened in the recent election' [...]
Alan Moore of the DC Examiner recently did a profile of each of the three Republicans in the race to succeed AG-elect Ken Cuccinelli; Chairman Tim Kaine recently set the date of the general election to Tuesday, January 12th. Here are some excerpts from Moore’s articles:

From Roz Helderman at the Washington Post:Gov. Tim Kaine's office reports that it has now received a copy of a letter from Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, indicating that he will resign from the state Senate on Jan. 12, in preparation for his inauguration as state attorney general Jan. 16.
On Monday, I listed what I believe to be Tim Kaine's "Top 20 Successes" as Governor. Now, as promised, here are his Top 20 Failures. Oh, and for anyone who says this is just "Monday Morning QB'ing," I recommend that you go to the Raising Kaine archives' [...] According to the WaPo, Tim Kaine blames Creigh’s loss on the fact that he distanced himself from the president and his policies.
The real reason he lost was because he couldn’t get enough distance…..

I'm not quite sure what to make of this - honest feelings by Kaine, (very) clever political spin, or both?
Here are Tim Kaine's top 20 successes as governor. I'll have his top (bottom?) 20 failures next.
Please take the time to urge Gov. Kaine to sign an Executive Order prior to leaving office to automatically restore the voting rights for all ex-felons once they have completed their prison terms or completed any parole.
The bottom line is this: Former felons - people who have served their [...]
NLS had a great post today blasting our part-time Governor Tim Kaine for jetting off to sunny Arkansas while declaring an emergency here in Virginia. And of course the Dem partisans take to blasting NLS for daring to mention impeachment, which Kaine probably deserves at this point. Just as [...]
Its a Declared State of Emergency in Virginia. But that doesn’t stop Tim Kaine from doing DNC business out of the state. Call his taxpayer-funded office at (804) 786-2211 and ask him why he is not in VA, where he is needed. [...]
The Virginia Organizing Project is making a huge push for Kaine to sign an executive order prior to leaving office to restore the voting rights for the 300,000 Virginians waiting on restoration and end Virginia's backwards policy (only one other state, Kentucky, has this restriction).
With his state under an emergency declaration because of heavy rain and floods, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine headed to Arkansas for a Democratic fundraiser.
