This is BNN’s official blog. “BNN Broadcast” will bring readers the latest news on what is going on at BlogNetNews, our latest features, expansions etc, give bloggers a place to comment on what we’re doing and will also be the launching point for our attempt to start covering the local news and politics blogosphere as a community.
What do I mean “covering the local news and politics blogosphere as a community?” I don’t know yet. My thought is that the local news blogosphere is like a small town. Most people know each other. There are feuds and friendships. A few issues impact us all intensely. My goal is to start writing posts about this environment that are one part small town daily and one part New York Post. There will be gossip, speculation, straight news, outraged editorializing, business coverage, media coverage and I don’t know what else.
A word about bias: My goal with the BNN Broadcast is to strive to be non-partisan, but be honest about the fact that I am a conservative. I am sure I will fail to meet my goals from time to time and I encourage bloggers who I write about or who read this blog to call me out on it.
I am not, however, going to write without opinion. The opinion that shapes my coverage will be strong views on what is best for the blogosphere as a whole and strong belief in the First Amendment.
